System requirements
macOS
macOS 11 Big Sur or later, with separate builds for Apple Silicon (M-series) and Intel Macs. Signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so it opens without a Gatekeeper warning.
Windows
Not shipped yet. The build targets 64-bit Windows 10 or later. There is no code-signing certificate yet, so the first release will show a SmartScreen warning.
Linux
Not shipped yet. The build targets a modern 64-bit distribution such as Ubuntu 20.04+ or Debian 11+, as an AppImage or .deb package.
iOS & Android
iOS 17 or later on the App Store, Android 7.0 or later on Google Play. Both are free, signed in with the same account, and kept in sync through the same server as the desktop and web apps.

Is the desktop app free?
Yes. The Mac app is free to download and use with your Elenna account. There is nothing to buy on this page.
Will macOS warn me that the app is from an unidentified developer?
No. The app is signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so it opens straight from the .dmg. If you ever see that warning, the file did not finish downloading — download it again.
Apple Silicon or Intel — which one do I need?
The button at the top picks for you. If you would rather check, open the Apple menu and choose “About This Mac”: a Chip line means Apple Silicon, a Processor line means Intel.
Where is my data stored?
Your events are kept in a local database inside the app’s support folder on your Mac, and in your Elenna account on the server so your phone and the web app see the same thing. Your Google and iCloud credentials never touch the desktop app — the server holds those.
How do updates work?
The app checks for new versions on its own and downloads them in the background. It never installs behind your back — the new version is applied when you restart the app.
How is it different from the web app?
The screens are the same. The desktop app adds today’s date in the menu bar, a local database so the calendar is there the instant the window opens, and updates that install themselves.
When are Windows and Linux coming?
The build pipeline already produces Windows and Linux packages — we have not shipped them yet. This page will list them the day they are up.
